SEAFOOD PROCESSOR

JOB DESCRIPTION


Seafood Processing personnel contribute to processing and packaging seafood while following the standards and procedures related to seafood processing and ensuring that all GMP and safety policies and procedures are followed.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


• Accurately sort product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color and size.
• Trim or break product as per supervisor instruction.
• Place product in containers or on designated conveyor.
• Accurately and quickly pack product in boxes or totes for storage or shipment.
• Accurately and quickly form boxes per supervisor instruction.
• Neatly affix labels to package.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
• Seafood processing experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to speak and understand the primary languages used in the workplace.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a facility where temperatures are cool, and the noise level can be moderate to high. PPE should be suitable for working in a wet and cold environment.

HOURS / SHIFTS:
40 hours/week Monday-Friday. Some Saturdays depending on demand. Overtime during busy season April to October
• Occasionally there will be work on the weekends and opportunity for overtime.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
$13.69 per hour. Medical/Dental/Vision available as a temp. Temp to Hire position after 90 days.
PPE/ATTIRE:
Clothing/gear that is suitable for working in a wet and cold environment.
